The popular ski resort of Val Thorens takes the title of the highest ski resort in Europe with the village set at an astonishing 2300 m. Thanks to its high altitude it is one of the first ski resorts in France to open and one of the last to close! The station is open for skiing now! Slopes opened on the 14th of November 09 and will stay open until the 9th May 2010.
